As the author of this blog, I would like to extend a warm and enthusiastic welcome to all VR coders, creators, and virtual world builders. My goal is to help users understand the power of A-Frame WebXR in the browser as it relates to the Open-source Metaverse and Web 3.0. To assist in this endeavor, I have written a free PDF book entitled “Social VR for the Metaverse with A-Frame WebXR”, © Michael McAnally, September 14, 2022.

My book covers a wide range of skills in VR development from basic beginner to somewhat more advanced. The book took me 5 months to write and is the culmination of multiple years of research. I encourage you to download the book and share it with others. Additionally, I invite you to visit my Open Metaverse Server and GitHub repository.

UPDATE (1–18–2023): Over the last few months, the free PDF has been downloaded many hundreds of times. My examples work with A-Frame version 1.3. However, A-Frame master version 1.4.1 has recently been released, and some new bugs have occurred in a few of my code examples with the new release. Hence, to reduce confusion and difficulty, please be aware of your version numbers.
