Nice article! However, I think the most important thing the Metaverse can solve is not always clearly evident, but I'll try to explain. Global Climate Change is clearly a serious threat to humanity and other planet species. If there is less airplane travel, car travel using gasoline, and other carbon pollutants as a result of people virtually traveling to meet or tour others areas of the world, then reduction in carbon release can be reduced, if there are enough headsets out there. No I haven't done the research numbers, but it seems to me a flight from New York to Los Angeles is more release carbon than the charge on your headset for a few virtual immersive meetings. Of course you have to calculate the carbon released in building the headset initially and transporting it to the customer, but after that its mostly negative in comparison. It also could be charged by renewable energy sources. So I see the Metaverse as a real win for the planet in general and humanity! Now sure you could do the same with a Zoom meeting, but then you would not be immersed into a 3D space. Now if your readers are interested I wrote a book on how to create your own Open Metaverse with technology inside a browser using WebXR and A-Frame. It can be found here for free PDF on my VR blog: https://rocketvirtual.com/
